MedFilmLab is an independent cultural project dedicated to analog photography and Super 8 / 8mm filmmaking. We celebrate the art of manual processes, from shooting to developing, printing, and projection, combining hands-on creativity with sustainable practices.
Our Mission
To preserve, teach, and promote analog visual culture, connecting photographers, filmmakers, and communities through workshops, screenings, and archiving. We believe analog is not nostalgia — it’s a living, creative, and sustainable medium.
What We Do
Analog Laboratory
- Develop and print film in our darkroom using eco-friendly methods.
- Occasionally work with traditional chemicals, responsibly and safely.
Archiving
- Collect donations from amateur filmmakers and photographers.
- Build a regional archive of analog films, photos, and experimental works.
Education & Workshops
- Hands-on courses for beginners and enthusiasts.
- Small, interactive classes teaching photography and film development.
Screenings & Exhibitions
- Show Super 8 / 8mm films and photography exhibitions.
- Organize events and, in the future, a Small Analog Film Festival.
Why MedFilmLab
- For Artists: a creative space to explore analog photography and film.
- For the Community: workshops, screenings, and exhibitions that engage and inspire.
- For the Region: preservation of cultural memory and local visual heritage.
Join us to discover the tactile beauty of analog — from frame to print, from reel to screen.
